4 Years!

Four years ago, Chris and I were married. It has flown by. Chris thinks its been awhile but to me it has flown by. For those of you who don't know, Chris and I met on the internet, in a Church of Christ chat room. (Scary, I know). At the time, I was in nursing school, and being a single mom with Ryley and did not meet people very well. AND I lived in Enid, Oklahoma. Chris had asked for my phone # and I had given him the first digits of my home # and the last four digits of my cell #. I don't know if I was trying to blow him off or if I was just nervous and messed up my own phone number. Anyway, being the good detective that he was he found my right # and called me. We talked for 6 hours on the phone the first night and 6 hours the second night. Then, the following weekend he came to Enid from Edmond. (he was going to OC at the time) We met and went to eat at Chilies. He took me back to my apartment and was going to head back to Edmond. He had already went to his car and came back and said "hey, I forgot to tell you someting" and he kissed me. And 10 months later, we were married. Awwww, how sweet! We didn't do too much for our anniversary being that I slept all day from working last night and we just bought a really nice camera that counts for both of our gifts. But he did do some research and put together something that meant something to me. I guess the 4th anniversary theme is supposed to be "fruit". He said he didn't just want to get me some fruit or anything to do with fruit so he took me to "Apple" bees to eat. We both had steak and shrimp parmesean and it was goooood! We didn't have much time because Chris' cousin was watching the boys and Kaden had only had 45 minutes of sleep today. But it was a nice anniversary since we hadn't done anything without kids the past 3! Hopefully soon we will be able to start taking trips each year for our anniversary. That is what I really want to do!! The 5th years theme is "wood". We'll see what he comes up with next year!! Ha!
